![]() My question was more about whether once mail arrives at its next destination (be it at a regional sorting centre like the ginormous centre at 53rd & Quebec in Denver or a post office), how the mail moves at that point. ![]() Is mail still moving through the USPS system in between major sorting facilities (like wherever the hell our regional sorting or processing centre is, either in Aurora or in Commerce City) or is it moving from/to those sorting facilities to local post offices (like my local post office in Longmont) so that mail that would normally be delivered today be available for sorting and delivery tomorrow?ĮDIT: To give more context, I know that at 11:59pm on Saturday (or the day before a postal holiday), planes carrying mail don't stop mid-air, trucks carrying mail don't just pull over on the side of the highway with the driver taking a siesta, etc. So, I'm curious, how does mail move on Sundays & Postal Holidays? To give you some context, I live in Longmont, Colorado.
