![]() ![]() Portal 2 map makers can easily and quickly create puzzles from within the game, and that’s resulted in more maps than are humanely possible to play in several lifetimes. Fixed a crash on startup that could happen on Linux.Valve released Portal 2 over a decade ago, but there’s always something new to play for it.Fixed a crash that could occur in some community test chambers using BEEMod on Linux.Fixed the credits being corrupted on Linux.Fixed the intro videos for acts 2 and 3 not playing on Linux.Fixed the game starting in the top left corner of the screen on Linux.Fixed a crash in the PeTI if you placed a light strip above a laser catcher on the floor and linked it to a fizzler.Fixed the fizzler not playing the retract animation when turned off in new PeTI maps.Fixed being able to copy 'uncopyable' items in the PeTI leading to invalid/broken levels.Fixed some items in PeTI not maintaining their portalability state when expanding the chamber boundaries.Fixed a crash if PeTI avatars could not be retrieved.Fixed Cave Johnson's lines not progressing when playing queued workshop levels.Fixed a memory leak that could occur when changing levels.Fixed a bug where you could no longer ping/taunt via mouse/keyboard if you have ever used a controller.Fixed the ping menu being visible when quick pinging on controller.Fixed the game instructor not respecting input types for respective players in split-screen mode.Fixed rumble not being respected for respective players in split-screen mode.Fixed the wrong avatar being used if playing coop after playing a workshop level.Fixed the OnFiredPortal2 output not firing.Fixed some text being duplicated on the screen multiple times. It's not clear why Valve is still patching Portal 2-I respect the dedication, but it is a 10-year-old game-but this isn't actually as out-of-nowhere as it might seem. Valve has been slowly, but fairly steadily, releasing Portal 2 patches since mid-2017, the last one a smaller scale fixer-upper that landed in July 2020.Just after i hand back the portal gun after chamber 19, the game loads the next part, where a guy in a desk says: "Hello Abby. Note that the problem has happened repeatedly, after restarting the game and reloading the save point before the speech and the crash, BUT it has given me several different MODULES with errors, including: Marca de tiempo del módulo con errores: 47293220 Nombre del módulo con errores: vguimatsurface.dll Marca de tiempo de la aplicación: 470c11ae Windows (vista) gives me something like this (it's in spanish): They're waiting for you, in the employee's lounge.", everything works fine till then, but as long as i advance approaching the desk, the game crashes. (those last 2, appeared in the same crash, i mean, after closing the first windows vista "crash" dialog, appeared the second with the other "StackHash" thing ![]() I didn't have that problem with the regular portal game, or with any other prelude levels. This first happened in version 1.0.0, so i thought the problem could be some of the bugs fixed in the update, so i installed 1.1.0, but the problem remains. ![]() Note that i have tried loading and playing other levels in the update (and also did in the 1.0.0 version), and they work fine, so something in that level, just before part of the desk with the guy speaking may be the thing crashing the game. Would i need to reinstal Portal? or what do i have to do? PORTAL RELOADED CHAMBER 19 UPDATE Im still having problems, but i tried something:įirst, i fixed the "portal" game installation (instead of uninstalling and reinstaling again), and then loaded the last level of prelude. I used the 'noclip' cheat, and moved outside the walls, to see if the rest of the level had loaded, and it did!, so the problem wasn't related with that. I continued "flying" trough the level, but the game freezed (NOT crashed, when crashing, the game closes, but when freezing, it just keeps the same image onscreen and doesn't respond until i kill the process). Ii assume it happened because i was flying like crazy and maybe the game couldn't handle it.Īnyway, what i did next was to copy the file "vguimatsurface.dll" from another folder inside the orange box, specifucally from hl2 episode 2, and replaced the file in the portal 'bin' folder. ![]()
